Second-generation planters from Idukki, Kerala.
Erthiq is a family-owned spice estate in the high-altitude cardamom belt of Idukki district. We have farmed this land across two generations, and today operate a digital trade platform alongside our estate participation programme.
Thirty acres of living spice history.
Our estate sits at 1,000–1,500 metres above sea level in Idukki district — a region whose unique microclimate, heavy monsoon rainfall, and misty mornings have made it the source of India's most prized cardamom for over a century. The Njallani variety we grow is considered the gold standard in the domestic and export trade.
Our black pepper grows alongside the cardamom, trained on erythrina support trees in the traditional plantation style. Both crops are harvested by hand, cured on-farm, and graded before dispatch. We are recipients of a National Award from the Spices Board of India for our cultivation practices.
